Fredrik Nielsen was born in 1977 and works in Stockholm, Sweden.

Controlled chaos. Bizarre amounts of glass. Heat. Trash. Music.

Fredrik Nielsen is one of the great radicals of the contemporary glass world, completely redefining the art-glass scene. Traditionally schooled, unconventional in his approach.

Rummaging his studio for leftovers, trash or any other random junk he might like, Nielsen prepares himself for what is to come. Competing with his own body he blows forms on the verge of being too big and heavy to handle.

Constantly feeding the glowing hot mass with various materials of a related chemical composition to see what consequenses this might bring to the sculpute. He adds first, asks questions later.

Nielsen has a solid, traditional glass education in both Sweden and the US behind him. He is represented by some of Europes greatest galleries and his work can be found in several museums and important private collections worldwide.
