Gregorio Peño Velasco was born in Madrid, Spain, 1983. His work is very much an experimentation of clay as a material. A form is modelled out of three different clays. Clays that during the firing fight with one another. Melting, expanding, shrinking and collapsing during the firing. Peño peeks into the kiln during the firing and stops the process when he is pleased with the result.
