Deirdre McLoughlin was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1949 and is a world renowned sculptor known for her ceramic work. Using her whole self as a working tool, McLoughlin has become acknowledged for her strong yet tender forms often charged with movement and a sense of recognisable simplicity.
