Elke Sada (b. 1965) is an award-winning contemporary ceramic artist based in Leipzig, Germany.

Since completing her Master of Arts at the Royal College of Art in London she has become one the major players within the sphere of contemporary ceramic art. With a deep interest in colours Sada applies layers of slips, engobes and glaze to her three-dimensional canvases with emotional yet uncompromising strokes, creating refreshing and sculptural vessels full of life. Her technique for her large forms is inspired by an ancient, patched copper vessel she discovered during a visit at the World Heritage Museum in Hallstatt in Austria. Sada beats the clay into shape, patching the fragments together to create complex vessels with visible seams.

Her work can be found in major museums, important private collections and has been shown multiple times worldwide.
