Exercising his relationship with nature, Jörg instinctively hunts and waits for the perfect piece of wood. Working alongside a material which has a spirit of it's own he controls the temperature and humidity of his workshop and lets the raw wood naturally crack over the course of several months.
With the intention of showing the heart of the tree Jörg slowly carves the lime wood using homemade tools, revealing layers of the living material. Once the desired form has been carved Jörg sands, oils and polishes the surface to give it a living finish.
